The Baltimore Orioles played a game in front of zero paying customers due to riot-torn city concerns. They won 8-2 over Chicago, so scratch that “energy of the crowd” notion. Food vendors found it tough-sledding, however.
No crowds, no cheering, losing 8 – 2? I guess the White Sox team now knows what it would be like to be the Cubs playing a home game.
