Southern California is getting a break from the summer heat as low clouds drift in from the ocean, this dense cloud cover is often referred to as the marine layer, I always thought the “The Marine Layer” was a woman I met outside Camp Pendleton.

  1. School buses are bright orange so they’re easy to see. So are people with a terminal case of jaundice. You just don’t really want to see them.

  2. Two deer brought commuter traffic to a halt Friday when they ran across the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin. That’s the good news. The bad news is there were three, but the toll was one buck.
